  Well I just felt like I took a hit of something and went on a brain adventure. I wasn't expecting very much but I was pleasantly surprised by it's oddness and ability to not let me quit. I would assume most would quit but I didn't. It made me laugh and also weird me out a bit. It's like a homemade game so you have to appreciate it's heart. A little... This is NOT a Triple A game. This is fun for a little challenge and to admire someone wanting to make their own game. That's not a bad thing. It's certainly not perfect. It could use some more work but it is what it is. Still enjoyed playing it even though it frustrated the crap out of me. I was not going to let this game beat me. So I finally beat it.

  You get "Tomato Way".. It's not that good, but it is definitely better than half of the stuff that comes to Steam.
  The only things that I had problems with was a LOOONG walk in Chapter 2 and getting stuck on enemies if they got too close.
  
  It's a fun little shooter that is different than most in almost every way. Combat is a little clunky, but just strafe and run to dodge enemies and their attacks. I'd pick it up on a decent discount, as the game is rather short, around 30 minutes.. 9/10 game. Full of heart and soul.

Honestly This game is the greatest game that could only be made by a god If you come Across this game Play it now And please dont judge the game by its graphics it is a great game this a story line unmatched by anyone.. This is honestly one of the greatest games that I have ever played. The way the combat worked with the unique enemy designs was a treat and the fact that you could eat your enemies to absorb health was a great addition. The story was great to. I liked how the romance between Tomate and the Mushroom worked (with the sex minigame as well as the dating sim aspect). Other side plots revolved around the mysterious murder of the sheriff and the start of the Cucumber Mafia. Overall a solid 10/10 please fix the frames.. come on pc, you can handle duke nukem forever why cant you handle this

  Nice coaches for variation in the Train Simulator. Though sounds are not as good, some sounds from the coaches on Riveria Line 50's would be better.. Interesting new sounds - not sure how accurate, but they make a change. Graphics OK... but nothing to write home about.   It's a fun, arcadey, shoot em' up, with many different modes of play, such as the solo Story Missions (recommended to play these first to get a feel for the game), and plenty of multiplayer modes, with the usuals, of deathmatch, team deathmatch, ctf, base conquer, and attack/defend modes. There's also a plethora of upgrade items for your ship as you level it up, stronger and unique weapons, better engines for faster movement, utility items for tighter movement control and longer boost time, faster energy recharge, larger enrgy pool, force shields etc, and armor upgrades that reduce damage taken and increase your HP.
  
  As stated in other "reviews", there isn't much going with multiplayer right now, but the game was just released a week ago. If you tell people to avoid this game, there won't be a player base for your multiplayer that you seem to want so badly.
  
  Controls in the game can seem a bit quirky, but the controls can be remapped however you want them. Better controller support is also going to happen soon, or so i was told by the dev.

  3.7 hours and 4 Steam Cards later I close. "Yargis is synching" ... huh? ... turns out 73.89MB where being stored on Steam Cloud ... for idling in the game!
  
  This is the highest synched data for a game I have on Steam and all for doing jack$%!*. A supriseingly fun game. A little bit of a learning curve but gets intutive with time. Just have to pay a little attention to small details. Like your spaceship trail shows your team color. You can add wepons but that takes up slots that give you power ups. Things like this will make your life easier. They host a server and have play times where they play the game multiplayer. You can tell they care about their work.. Bought this hoping it'd be a traditional newtownian space shooter like Asteroids or Subspace\/Continuum. It's more a twinstick style shooter. Single player sucks pretty hard. There's no real challenge. The game uses an RPG style inventory system and gives you money for doing missions but you can't buy anything meaningful for a very long time. The "story" is told through cutscenes full of cringeworthy voice acting and stock character portraits. Back to playing vanar.io I guess.. Luckily I was able to pick this up for free, if you consider having to click 12 links to get a key free.
  
  This game is a prime example of the new norm on steam: ♥♥♥♥♥♥ indie games priced between $9.99 and $14.99. It even has paid DLC, oh boy!
  
  Gameplay is boring and uninventive. It sounds like they hired Carl the cuck ( http://2new4.fjcdn.com/pictures/Cuck+carl+aids+skrillex_b95f4f_5861267.jpg ) to do the terrible voice acting.

Surprised this game isn't more popular. Great Paper Boy clone with an 80's theme. Worth the price.. The Videokid is an absolute throwback to the 80's. It's a fun spin on the Paperboy games with a ton of references from the time period and maybe a bit of a Skate or Die feel. If those all seem somewhat foreign to you then maybe a better comparison would be to modern endless runner style games.

You take control of a kid on a skateboard who is trying to meet his girl at the park. But his pesky job of delivering VHS tapes gets in the way. You skate along and make your deliveries while avoiding various obstacles. Obstacles that are often references to 80's pop culture. Maybe you need to avoid the Terminator. Or peg some Care Bears in the head with a tape. Drop in a sewer that you saw a few Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles drop into? You can grind on top of cars and benches in an effort to increase your score. Make a few extra bucks and you can unlock various characters to use along with some extra moves.

At the end of the day if you're a fan of the 80's then this might be right up your alley. Same if you're into endless runner style titles. If neither of those things really appeal to you then I'd give this a pass.

THE VIDEOKID is a runner where you play a kid riding his skateboard delivering video tapes for marked Letter boxes While trying to avoid all sorts of dangerous enemies that mostly are 80ies culture icons like movies\/cartoons characters etc. The handling is as simple as it gets as the controls are left and right and up for jumping while a fourth key is for throwing the video tapes. The game can be played on either keyboard or controller. When colliding with enemies the first time the game ends. The game has 3 different trick updates which in my opinion is a bit limited but still ok as you doesnt have much influence on them anyways. Besides of that different skins can be bought by earning ingame coins.

I think all fans of runners or the original paperboy will be satisfied aquiring this great little game that in my opinion actually is way better than the original and its sequel. The vast ammount of culture references is really staggering and has had me trying to remember what movies and shows they might have appeared in originally.

I bought this game at full price and is really happy that i did so as its a simple but addictive game of nostalgia.

and even then im sure i missed a bunch. The 20000 points achievement is broken and won't get unlocked. I had two full playthroughs with more than enough points, but it's still locked.

I hope this bug gets adressed in the near future, as I really enjoyed this game except from this.. With all due respect, VIDEOKID puts PAPERBOY(one of my all time favs) to shame. This is seriously awesome.
Your left thumb will want to quit, but your right middle finger will hit ENTER out of defiance for "just one more round" of this challenging\/addicting arcade game packed full of pop culture good times. The joke's on you if you don't have this in your library. \u2580\u25ac\u2580

-10\/10 - Zashish. Great game, even better if you grew up in the 70-80s. The amount of different characters you recognise that you had forgot about is amazing. They have packed a lot of references in there. I won't name them as half the fun is recognising them and shouting it out.
The game is an obvious clone of Paperboy but in my opinion it is much better and more fun to play. Plus you don't need a bicycle controller to play it! I find it easier to play with a controller. Unfortunately the game does not support a controller but I use Pinnacle to get around this. There are only 4 keys anyway so its not really an issue.
The difficulty level is spot on leading you to the feeling of "Just one more go" and one more go becomes 10 more goes etc...
Highly recommended at the full price.. Man I love this game, it is nostalgia of PAPERBOY! BRILLIANT. So, The Videokid, really cool game. Would highly recommend it-- especially for the small price tag. The premise is simple enough and the excecution is done quite well. The game is making you through almost what I would consider a rail arcade game where you have to deliver as many videos as possible while also making your way to your girlfriend. The score attack part of the game keeps you on your toes while the incentive to collect money also for skins and tricks makes sure there is a benchmark for how good you are getting. The design of the level is ingenious, with plenty of nostalgic references to make sure you keep grinning as you go along. The secret level is cool as well. Overall, the game is fantastic, my only knock on it being that the loading times are "too long" for a game that is all about failing and repeating. (Too long as compared to super hexagon that is almost instantaneous). Appart from that, definately buy it if you get the chance.

Not hard. Just a lot of remembering.. Launch day, and no reviews to go by. But for $1.50, why not give it a shot.

First impressions.
Graphics are fine, nothing spectacular, a nice anime design that is expected for this price range.
Game play is a bit odd. I fined a care for double parking, had the correct fine amount and was told I made a mistake. It doesn't say WHAT you did wrong, so no idea what I did.
Several times I was marked off for using the correct fine for what I thought was the correct violation, but either te amount was wrong or it wasn't as late in the day as I thought. I issued a ticket for a time violation, but I was wrong again.

This makes it very frustrating having no idea what it was that I did wrong. Dev's should look into maybe a quick message with the "You made a mistake" that says why.

This is a game that is annoying the first couple times you play. However, as you play it more and memorize every parking law and each fine, it gets much better. First play though I made it a whopping 3 days before being fired. The last day every ticket was wrong. :P

This is a game I will try a few more times, hopefully updates will fix the little things. Unsure of the lifespan of this game in my play list.

Worth the $1.50? With that one tweak telling me what I did wrong? Sure.. it sucks
. Absolute trash. Do not waste your two dollars on this mess. The parking clocks make absolutely no sense, I can't figure out how to use my guide book, and it's clearly a poorly made RPG maker game. Some of the violations don't make any sense. For example, in level two there is a car parked in front of the church that looks pretty legally parked, however if you choose not to ticket it then it tells you that the car was blocking a driveway despite the fact that there is nothing making it clear that the area is a driveway. Another car on level two is a busted up husk of a car on the curb next to the church and I figured that it's probably been there for more than a week and it's parked in an unauthorized area so I called up the tow company to get it towed. Turns out that the broken down car frame was only violating the curb parking law. At this point, I requested a refund.

There is definitely a good idea here, but the execution is absolutely terrible. Try again.. Nice little game to pass time.
It becomes tricky at a certain point, because you only have limited time to check all cars on your map.

It's kinda funny. It's a cute game. I can't pass level 2. I interact with all the cars and it never progresses me. Time runs out and I get fired. I also try to fine the car for occupying a space for too long, and I get a message that says I was wrong, reason 'No Ticket'. I don't understand the reason 'no ticket'.. Great game, but please add fullscreen to the options screen.
